How Do Planets Work In A Horoscope?

There are many virtues we respect. Courage, enthusiasm, foresight, and more. They are all great. But just like one bad egg stinks up the whole carton, there is one trait that can ruin every excellent quality: confusion.

So, I have great respect for confusion because it's a formidable enemy that can render our best efforts to naught.

If confusion is the enemy, who🤔 is our ally? Clarity.

Think about it. The worst moments of our lives are when these two enter a tug-of-war leaving us floundering. The winner will determine your fate. Do I sound dramatic? Hardly. When was the last time you felt good about being confused?

As the Chinese philosopher-strategist Lao Tzu said,👌 "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained, you will also suffer a defeat. You will succumb in every battle if you know neither the enemy nor yourself."

Let's do some matchmaking based on the above philosophical gem. If you have clarity and can recognize confusion, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. Your defeats will match victories if you have clarity but do not know why confusion arisesIf you do not have clarity and cannot overcome confusion, you will never leave the battlefield.

In Vedic Astrology, it's easy to spot the planet/s fogging your mind. For example, the Moon is a first-rate culprit if it's weak in a birth chart. This poetry-inducing planet signifies the mind and has a massive say in how strong or weak your thinking is.

Is it:

👉Malefic?

👉Poorly aspected?

👉Conjunct Sun, Mars, Saturn, or Rahu?

Weak?

It can cause confusion, depression, and poor decision-making. Emotions will rule, and logic will be banished to some dim corner of your mind to rue its fate.

👉Rahu, Sun, Saturn, and Ketu also play significant roles in creating mind fog.

👉Sun represents ego; if ego is inflated, it can obscure vision. A powerful Sun in a birth chart can make the person excessively arrogant and incapable of clarity.

👉A Saturn and Moon conjunction is the perfect recipe for a sunken mind.

👉The 5th House in the birth chart holds terrific clues to how successful you will be owing to an intelligent, clear head.

👉Lagna, or Lagna lord, if aspected by Jupiter, leads to wise thinking.

👉Strong Mars leads to decisiveness.

👉A strong Mercury gives good communication skills.

As you can see, the planets can aid or obstruct your clarity, depending on how they have been assigned to your birth chart.

But let's pull back a bit and look at the big picture. What does it mean to go beyond confusion? Is it about knowing your left foot from your right, or is there more to it?

Clarity is not limited to making the right tactical or strategic moves; there is more to life, and it is about knowing its full sweep, which begins with understanding why you were born.

There is a purpose to everything, and you are no exception. 💁

What are the karmas that you lugged into this life? Knowing them is the key to opening the door to your Dharma - and I use the word consciously. Because in every role you play, you are a father, son, friend, mother, business leader, mentor, and motivator expending previous karmas and creating them anew. So, you need to be aware and clear-headed about your duties and responsibilities.

Life is a patchwork quilt, and it needs strong seams. It won't help if some areas are together and others are falling apart. Sometimes it takes people half a lifetime to learn how to fix the loose patches; others never get down to doing it. Wouldn't it be great to have clarity early on so you can banish confusion forever?
